Description
Clamp pliers for crimping copper pipes are tools used in the service of refrigeration and air conditioning installations to temporarily shut off the refrigerant flow. They allow for quick crimping of a thin capillary tube or service line without the need for immediate soldering. This solution can be useful during repairs, component replacements, or preparing the system for further processing.
The construction based on a locking mechanism allows for maintaining a constant pressure on the tube, ensuring that the pipe remains tightly closed throughout the work.
Features:
- 45# tool steel provides the appropriate hardness of the jaws and resistance to deformation during multiple crimps
- locking mechanism maintains a constant clamping force after crimping, freeing up the hands
- adjustment of pressure with a screw allows for adapting the crimping force to the thickness of the tube wall and reducing the risk of it cracking
Application:
- for copper pipes up to 6 mm in diameter
suitable for thin tubes used in refrigeration systems, capillaries, and auxiliary lines - controlled shut-off enables a tight flattening of the tube without cutting it and prepares it for soldering or device transportation
- service application for repairs of refrigerators, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and other refrigeration devices
