Portable spot welder

Portable spot welder with powerbank function for permanently bonding 18650 and similar cells using nickel and nickel strip. LCD display with simple, intuitive menus. Ten power levels. Two lithium-polymer cells connected in parallel with a maximum instantaneous discharge current of up to 90 C. 40 cm silicone-insulated copper wires of approximately 10^mm2 with replaceable copper terminations.

The device gives a maximum welding current of ~500 A. This is the average real current value measured over a 100 ms period. Some manufacturers quote the current parameters of the mosfets or the peak current value instead of the real welding current. From a technical data point of view, this is true, but in practice it often becomes impossible to achieve a proper weld with 0.15 mm nickel-plated tape. YATO's portable spot-welding machine makes it possible to carry out correct welds using 8 mm wide, 0.20 mm thick nickel-plated tape and 8 mm wide, 0.15 mm thick nickel-plated tape.

The sealer can be charged with any phone charger using a cable with a USB-C connector. The USB-A socket will allow devices with a demand of 5 V and a maximum current of 2 A to be powered.
