NOTE! In soldering mode, after heating the tip, the heating power should be reduced to a minimum. This will maintain the correct temperature required for melting the soldering alloy and prevent excessive oxidation of the tip. Maintaining power greater than the minimum may result in overheating of the soldering iron and even melting of the protective plastic.
